I love to bake. That’s stating the obvious but you all don’t know me yet, so I have to start off with I love to bake. To me, baking doesn’t feel like a chore or work…it’s just baking. I could be in the kitchen slaving away baking for the people I see the next day, but it would feel as if no time has passed at all. This fact bites me in the butt later on though because I would finally look up at the clock and find that it is certainly not yesterday anymore. It’s an addiction and I can’t stop.
I grew up with cooking and food all around me. My grandparents cooked, my parents cooked and most of my aunts and uncles cooked. I was fate for me to get into cooking. Growing up as the first generation born American, I was lucky to experience the traditional Asian cooking of my family as well as be introduced to the diverse cuisines found in America.
I have started this blog in the hopes of inspiring people to enjoy making food, especially baking. Within the pages of this virtual journal, I set out to find incredible desserts in L.A. and with some luck talk to the chefs behind the delectable edible art. Hoping to start a conversation with the public while sharing my adventures with baking, this blog will be a space for people to see through the eyes of a female Asian college student with a love of food and everything yummy.
